The pigeons will go for a 16 mile trainer this afternoon to keep them sharp, and this will be on Benzing.
This week will see us go for Hotspot 3. This will be from Blaydon-on-Tyne, which is 147 miles. After looking at the forecast on route for every day this week, I’m reasonably sure that Wednesday looks the best day, although it keeps changing so it could well alter, but at the moment we shall be going to Blaydon to arrive at around 6am Wednesday, allow the birds to settle and have a drink, and go for a 7/7.30am liberation. Wind is forecast for westerly and I anticipate it will take them around 3.5 hours.
Birds will be marked tomorrow around tea time; every pigeon which returns from today’s trainer on the Benzing shall be going to the race.
